The Catalogue of Artwork has only two of the earlier black-and-white photos from Lips. Although numerous negatives are available, only a few prints exist.

In Lips’ 1984 exhibition in Amsterdam, photography still plays a minor role. Installation, object and drawing are in the forefront here.

Nevertheless photographs were taken in this year that will be used as the basis for later work. Lips largely now takes color slides. He does not show drawings and objects in any further exhibition.
