1972 High school graduation (“Abitur”) in Bochum

1975 Studies at the Folkwangschule in Essen

1980 Exams as an academically trained graduate designer (studied under Prof. S. Lengyel)

1981 Educational trip through Switzerland, Spain and Italy

1982 Lived in Bonn and Cologne as a free-lance artist

1984 Intensive involvement with photography as a medium, which now replaces painting as the main emphasis for his work


1986 Participation in the International Photoscene Cologne; since then lively involvement with exhibitions, Acquisitions/Collections Ludwig, Cologne

1989 Became ill with the immune deficiency disease AIDS

1994 Died in Cologne
